My clients hire me because they love my work and enjoy working with me. Here's a bit more information about me and my business:

How long have you been doing photography?

I've been doing this for more than 15 years — and love it. For the past several years I've also been the photographer for Wilshire Boulevard Temple's summer camps marketing, as well as numerous other events for them.

Are there any hidden photo fees?

Nope. I keep my fees simple so you don't have to make a million choices when the photos are ready. I shoot the photos, and you get all the best images.

Do I have to pick and choose which photos I want to buy?

No, I include ALL the best high resolution digital images in your fee. No surprises.

What's your philosophy about taking pictures?

I care about getting the most interesting, exciting, joyous and heartwarming photos possible, and I believe it shows in my work. I am constantly on the lookout for when people smile. I want you to feel like you were there — even if you weren't. Some of the images might even surprise you.

What other photography experience do you have?

I've been a photo editor, and I am a creative director. I've also exhibited my photography, and have my work on iStockphoto.com. My work has been published in New York Times bestsellers, on HuffingtonPost.com, and other outlets. As a designer at the RAND Corporation for years, my photography and designs have appeared on many of their publications.

What equipment do you use?

I use a great camera and lenses: Nikon D750, and various lenses and flash equipment. Plus, I shoot in RAW, which means getting the maximum amount of tones in each photo.

What are you like to work with?

I'm professional, arrive early, and communicate with you so there are no surprises. I'll check in with you regularly during the event to make sure I'm not missing any photos you want taken.

A little more about me:

I've traveled to Israel and Jordan, photographing these beautiful countries. Most recently I visited Finland, England and Amsterdam, documenting my travels extensively.

As a creative director, I've led graphics departments at marketing firms, publishing houses and entertainment companies, doing graphic design, photography and illustration.

I love giving back to the community. I volunteer in a number of ways, including performing guitar for patients at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for the last 15 years, leading a Cub Scout pack for four years, and receiving the Founders Day award at my son's school. I was also president of the Music Club at RAND, a volunteer position leading a great group of musical employees in live and online performances.

"Rick, you did an amazing job of pivoting and turning the music club into something that brought joy to everyone at RAND during very dark times.  That took an incredible amount of work and every single online concert you created brought tears to my eyes."   Beth (RAND employee)

I teach software programs such as Photoshop and InDesign (at UCLA, New Roads High School, Harvard-Westlake, and various adult education companies), and I'm a published author (Huffington Post, Price Stern Sloan, Amazon).

Let me know if you have any questions. I'm here to help.
